FAQ

What should I buy first in Build the Pyramid!?
Whatever raises your blocks per minute. In practice that means Speed and Strength multipliers first, carrying capacity next, convenience purchases last. Fund the first purchases with code Coins — FREECODE, UPGRADES5K and UPDATE15 cover the early lineup several times over.
How do you get Coins for upgrades?
Codes first (the codes page lists each one's reward and source), then the carry loop itself — blocks carried convert into Coins, and completed pyramids make every later hour wealthier.
Are upgrades better than training?
They stack. Training is the renewable stat engine; upgrades are purchased multipliers on top. The strongest character uses both — codes, gym and upgrades together, as covered in how to get stronger.

Upgrades are where Coins stop being a number and become progression. This page explains the upgrade layer of Build the Pyramid! — what your Coins buy, a buying order that follows from the game’s mechanics, and an honest line between what is confirmed and what is still being reported. The income side (where Coins come from) is the coins guide.

Fund your upgrades with codes before grinding

Every upgrade purchase has a free shortcut sitting on the codes page: FREECODE (500 Coins), UPGRADES5K (5,000 Coins) and UPDATE15 (reportedly 50,000 Coins plus 25,000 Strength — the strongest single boost known). All are community-reported with dated sources, and together they fund the early upgrade lineup several times over. The redemption steps are in how to redeem codes.

The buying priority

The game’s only real currency is blocks per minute — everything else is a means to it. That gives a purchase order that cannot really go wrong:

  1. Stat multipliers. Anything that raises Speed or Strength multiplies every future trip. This is the same logic as the training guide order, purchased instead of grinded.
  2. Carrying capacity and reach. More per trip (or per action) is more blocks per minute by another door.
  3. Convenience last. Shortcuts feel good but do not compound; buy them once the multipliers are in place.

Confirmed vs. community-reported

Confirmed: the game has an upgrade economy funded by Coins (codes paying Coins is only meaningful if upgrades exist to buy), and training plus upgrades stack toward the same stat totals.

Still being verified: the exact lineup of upgrade names, prices and effects. Community reporting describes bulk pickup and bulk placement style upgrades and stat multipliers, with tiers — none of those specifics are verified here yet, so this page deliberately does not list them as facts. When verified in game, the lineup gets its own dated section. Our labeling standard is on the about page.

The pyramid that all of this ultimately serves

How upgrades fit the strength stack

Getting stronger in Build the Pyramid! is three sources stacked: codes (instant), the gym (renewable), completions (structural) — the comparison is in how to get stronger. Upgrades are the multiplier you purchase on top, funded mostly by the first source and multiplying the second. A session that ignores any one of the four leaves progress on the table; the beginner’s guide sequences all of them into a first hour.

Practical notes

Buy early, not big. Several cheap multipliers beat one expensive one in the early hours — compounding prefers breadth.

Re-check after updates. Updates have so far brought both new codes (UPDATE15 was update-numbered) and balance changes; the upgrade landscape can shift with a patch. Dated changes live on the codes page and here.

Do not hoard Coins. Unspent Coins are unmultiplied trips — the coins guide spending rule applies until the shop runs dry of things that raise blocks per minute.

The one-line version

Codes fund it, stat multipliers first, capacity second, convenience last — and every purchase points at the same target: more blocks on the pyramid, faster.
